The primary focus for the Manager Digital Research and Policy will be to support the selection, preservation, maintenance, and archiving of digital assets.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
*Implement Digital Preservation Policy and Procedures
*Fulfill research requests originating from Technical Operations or other Business Units
*Define, articulate and prioritize requirements for future Media Asset Management capabilities
*Define and implement reporting requirements to help improve operations efficiency
*Facilitate migration from legacy systems
*Support usability enhancements to Media Asset Management and Order Management Platforms
- Responsible for user-advocacy; understanding how to support user needs in the best manner possible
Basic qualifications:
*Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in:
- Film and Television Production
- Computer Science or Engineering
- Archive, Library and Information Science
*Minimum five years of experience in Studio or Post Production Facility or Digital Content Archive working with Digital Media
*Experience with Digital Media and Metadata Management
*Experience with data modeling, data structures and reporting
*Experience in data analysis toolsets
Desired skills:
*Strong oral and written communication skills are required to effectively communicate with Company personnel and outside parties
*Detail and process oriented
*Knowledge of IT infrastructure and how it supports Archive and access of digital assets
*Ability to work with IT and Application Teams to implement new solutions
