The DAM Foundation is an organization of professionals working in the field of digital asset management.  The Foundation will promote the advancement of Digital Asset Management by creating communities of interest and action around standards, career definition and development, education, best practices and innovation.  The DAM Foundation will provide opportunities to capture and grow the intellectual knowledge contained in this thriving community.

The Membership Committee will support the Foundation’s mission to foster a professional society of DAM practitioners through membership recruitment and retention.

The Membership Committee’s purpose is twofold:  1) to identify and attract prospective members and 2) actively maintain membership and encourage participation in the DAM Foundation.

The Membership Committee will:

• Recommend strategies to increase membership
• Advise on matters pertaining to dues and services
• Cultivate membership of under-represented industries and individuals [in the DAM community]: women, non-profits, educational institutions, and students
• Interact with existing membership through website, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media
• Welcome new members and keep membership informed of Foundation activities
• Identify and advocate membership needs/requirements
• Identify and advocate what services are missing in the DAM space and propose methods to meet these needs
